Prayer is Powerful

I have found the most effective form of prayer to be what is called Spiritual Mind Treatment, or Affirmative Prayer. Affirmative Prayer is specifically and scientifically designed to align the one praying with that Power which is greater than all Its creation. It requires of us to think in ways that will naturally and lawfully create what we desire. When I pray on your behalf, I am not wishing, hoping, or begging.  I am activating laws that respond directly to beliefs. Once you know more about universal laws, it's simple to practice using them. They can be summed up in the declaration, "It is done unto you as you believe." Affirmative prayer, then, is about shifting our belief.

I have outlined the steps below.

Purpose

State clearly the desired outcome, or quality of being you desire to experience as a result of this prayer.  State your purpose in the present tense.

Recognition

Recognize (affirm) everything you know to be True about the qualities of the Higher Power.  For example, It is Infinite, All Knowing, All Loving. Simply put, It is All there is.

Unification

Unify with and feel your Oneness with this Power. Direct your thoughts to how you are connected to All that is. 

Realization

State the quality of being or outcome you described in the purpose above. Declare all that you desire in the present tense. You are affirming that which in reality, you already are.

Thanksgiving

Rejoice in the Truth of the Higher Power!  Give thanks in advance that Spirit has provided all that you need.

Release

This step is one of completion and absolute trust.  It is a formal acknowledgement of the agent through which prayer works.  In this step, you "get out of the way" and let the law do its job.

Purpose

I am safe and secure.  My mind is at peace.

Recognition

I know there is only One Mind, One Power, One Sustainer of all life.  It is Timeless and Infinite, Intelligent and Loving.  It is the only Reality back of all creation.

Unification

Because the One Mind expresses through me and as me, I know that I am One with It.  There can be no separation between the Creator and Its creation.  Therefore, I know that all the qualities of Spirit are inherently within me.

Realization

Because the nature of Spirit is perfect and no harm can come to It, I know that I too am always safe.  There is a place within me that can never be harmed or disturbed by outside events or circumstances.  Spirit is everywhere present, and It acts as my guiding Light.  I claim and accept for myself the peace of mind that only Spirit within can provide.  I now relax, knowing that peace of mind already belongs to me. There is no delay in the action of Spirit.  Safety and peace of mind come naturally to me. 

Thanksgiving

With a heart full of gratitude for the perfect and orderly nature of Spirit, I give thanks for the Truth of Its being.  It brings me great joy to know that Spirit is always and forever working on my behalf.

Release

Knowing that in the invisible world of Spirit everything already exists, I now confidently and with complete trust release my word into the law which acts upon my word.  It does not return void.  I release and let go.  And so it is.
